How We Developed Custom 316 Stainless Steel Bracelet Samples for a 2,000-Piece Order

Steel-color and gold-color custom 316 stainless steel bracelet samples

On September 7, 2026, Inoxara completed the sampling stage for a custom 316 stainless steel bracelet order. The project includes a polished steel-color version and a gold-color version with PVD plating, both featuring a custom logo engraved on the center ID plate.

The planned bulk quantity is 1,000 pieces per color, for a total of 2,000 bracelets. Each bracelet measures 18 cm with a 5 cm extension chain, weighs approximately 20 g and will be packed individually in a transparent PE bag.

This case study presents the actual samples and confirmed product specifications. Bulk production has not yet been presented as completed, and the customer’s identity, complete logo, pricing and delivery information remain confidential.

Confirming the Custom Bracelet Requirements

Before sampling began, our team reviewed the bracelet design, material, dimensions, weight, logo position, color options and packaging method. Confirming these details before production helps reduce misunderstandings and gives both the customer and factory a clear reference for sample evaluation.

The main requirements for this order were:

  • A Cuban link bracelet with a central engraving plate
  • 316 stainless steel as the base material
  • A polished steel-color option
  • A gold-color option with PVD plating
  • A custom customer logo engraved on the ID plate
  • An 18 cm main bracelet with a 5 cm extension chain
  • An approximate finished weight of 20 g
  • 1,000 pieces in each color
  • Individual transparent PE bag packaging

Because this was a custom project rather than a ready-stock order, the bracelet specifications were prepared specifically for the customer’s requirements.

Using 316 Stainless Steel for the Bracelet

The customer selected 316 stainless steel for both bracelet colors. Material selection was confirmed before sampling so that the chain links, ID plate, clasp, extension chain and other metal components could be prepared according to the same project specification.

For custom jewelry orders, the stainless steel grade should be confirmed in writing before sample production. Changing the material after a sample has been completed may affect the quotation, component sourcing, production schedule and final finishing process.

In this project, both the polished steel-color sample and the PVD-plated gold-color sample were developed using 316 stainless steel as the base material.

Developing the Cuban Link ID Bracelet Structure

The bracelet combines a Cuban link chain with a smooth center ID plate. This structure gives the bracelet a substantial appearance while providing a defined surface for logo engraving.

During sample development, the factory reviewed:

  • The proportions and alignment of the Cuban links
  • The connection between the chain and center plate
  • The shape and usable area of the ID plate
  • The clasp opening and closing function
  • The attachment of the extension chain
  • The overall flexibility and wearing structure

The completed samples allow the customer to evaluate the real proportions, surface appearance, engraving position and overall feel before bulk production proceeds.

Adding the Custom Logo Engraving

The customer’s logo was engraved on the central ID plate. This position provides a clearly defined branding area without changing the basic Cuban link structure.

Before engraving, the artwork must be adjusted to match the actual dimensions of the metal plate. A logo that looks clear on a large digital file may require simplification when reproduced on a smaller jewelry surface.

For this sample, our team reviewed the following points:

  • Logo orientation
  • Engraving position
  • Artwork dimensions
  • Letter and line clarity
  • Spacing around the edges of the plate
  • Visibility on both steel-color and gold-color surfaces

The complete customer logo is not displayed publicly in this case study. Protecting customer branding and project information is part of our custom jewelry production process.

Producing Steel-Color and PVD Gold-Color Samples

Two color samples were prepared so the customer could compare the actual finishes before confirming bulk production.

Polished Steel-Color Sample

The steel-color version retains the natural stainless steel appearance with a polished surface. The sample was checked for polishing consistency, visible scratches, chain alignment and the clarity of the engraved logo.

Gold-Color Sample with PVD Plating

The gold-color version uses PVD plating over the 316 stainless steel base. The PVD finish was applied after the required surface preparation so the customer could evaluate the actual gold tone together with the Cuban link structure and engraved center plate.

Inspection of the PVD-plated sample included:

  • Gold color consistency across the bracelet
  • Surface coverage around the chain links
  • Finish around the center ID plate
  • Appearance around the clasp and extension chain
  • Engraving visibility after finishing
  • Overall polishing and surface cleanliness

Producing both colors during the sampling stage gives the customer a physical reference for approving the steel finish and PVD gold color before the 2,000-piece bulk order moves forward.

Checking the 18 + 5 cm Adjustable Length

The confirmed bracelet size is 18 cm plus a 5 cm extension chain. The extension chain provides an adjustable wearing range while keeping the main Cuban link section at the required length.

During inspection, the length is reviewed from the clasp connection to the end of the bracelet and extension chain. The factory also checks whether the extension links and end tag are securely connected and visually consistent with the rest of the bracelet.

For custom orders, the measurement method should be agreed upon before production because different factories or buyers may measure chain jewelry from different reference points.

Reviewing the Approximate 20 g Weight

Each completed bracelet weighs approximately 20 g. The finished weight is influenced by the dimensions of the Cuban links, center plate, clasp, connecting rings and extension chain.

Weight is reviewed together with the physical dimensions rather than treated as an isolated specification. Minor variation may occur during production, so the acceptable tolerance should be confirmed before bulk manufacturing begins.

The sample allows the customer to evaluate whether the bracelet has the intended balance between visual weight, physical feel and wearing comfort.

Sample Quality Checks

After the samples were completed, our factory team reviewed the jewelry against the confirmed project specifications. The main inspection points included:

  • 316 stainless steel material specification
  • Overall bracelet length
  • Approximate finished weight
  • Cuban link shape and alignment
  • Center plate dimensions and positioning
  • Clasp function
  • Extension chain connection
  • Logo position and engraving clarity
  • Polishing quality of the steel-color sample
  • PVD color and surface consistency of the gold-color sample
  • Sharp edges, scratches or visible surface defects

Any approved sample and written specification should be kept as the production reference for the subsequent bulk order.

Individual Transparent PE Bag Packaging

The confirmed packaging requirement is one bracelet per transparent PE bag. Individual packaging helps keep the bracelets separated during storage, counting and shipment.

Before bulk packing, the factory should confirm:

  • The correct bracelet color
  • The correct logo engraving
  • The required quantity per color
  • The condition of each bracelet before packing
  • Whether additional labels or barcodes are required
  • The quantity packed in each inner and outer carton

This order currently uses individual transparent PE bags without mentioning additional branded retail packaging. Logo cards, printed bags, gift boxes, tags and barcode labels can be discussed separately when required.
